1. Follow the Archon Quests. The main story unlocks regions, features like co-op and domains, and raises your Adventure Rank. Do not rush through side content before key features unlock.

2. Explore for Primogems. Chests, Waypoints, Statues of the Seven and puzzles all give Primogems and useful items. Exploring is the biggest free source early on.

3. Understand Wishes and pity. Wishes use Intertwined or Acquaint Fates. Banners guarantee a top-rarity result after a set number of pulls. Pulling on limited banners for characters you like is usually better than pulling on every banner.

4. Do not waste Primogems on Resin early. Save them for Wishes unless you are very short on a critical material.

5. Spend Original Resin every day. Resin refills over time and caps. Use it on domains, bosses or Ley Lines that give the materials your team needs.

6. Learn elemental reactions. Combining elements, such as Hydro and Pyro for Vaporize, deals much more damage. Building teams around reactions is the heart of Genshin combat.

7. Focus on one team of four. Spreading materials across many characters slows progress. A strong main team clears content faster, which earns more rewards.

8. Upgrade weapons, not just characters. A levelled weapon adds a lot of damage. Use spare weapons as enhancement material.

9. Artifacts come later. Artifacts matter, but early on, levelling characters and weapons gives more power. Start farming artifact sets once your team is levelled.

10. Do daily commissions. They give Primogems and Adventure EXP every day and only take a few minutes.

Check the Spiral Abyss when it resets for Primogems. These habits take a little time but give steady rewards. Also, use the in-game map’s tracking tools to find remaining chests and Oculi in each region, because exploration rewards keep adding Primogems long after the story ends.

Finally, join co-op with friends for difficult bosses. Shared fights are faster and more fun, and everyone gets their own rewards.
