What UC is

UC (Unknown Cash) is PUBG Mobile’s premium currency. It buys the Royale Pass, crates, outfits and weapon skins. Since it costs real money, many scams promise free UC.

Buying UC officially

The in-game store is the safest place to buy UC. On Android, it uses Google Play billing. PUBG Mobile also lists official top-up partners on its website for some regions. Only use partners listed there. Our safe top-up guide has more tips.

Using Play credit

Google Play credit can pay for UC. Gift cards and credit from Google Opinion Rewards both add to your balance. This is a slow but safe way to save toward UC without a bank card.

Royale Pass

The Royale Pass gives many rewards across a season. Higher pass ranks can return some UC as a reward, which helps fund the next pass if you play enough. Check the current season’s rewards to see exactly what it offers.

Events

Events occasionally give small amounts of UC or items worth UC. Check the events tab regularly.

UC scams to avoid

• “Free UC” generators and surveys.
• Sellers asking for your login to “add UC”.
• Very cheap UC from strangers, often bought with stolen cards.
• Modded apps or hacks.

Is the Royale Pass worth UC?

For players who log in most days, the Royale Pass is usually the best value for UC. It gives outfits, weapon skins, crates and other rewards across a whole season, and higher ranks can return some UC. If you only play now and then, you may not reach the higher ranks, so the free track might be enough. Check how many missions you can realistically finish before buying.

Crates and luck-based items

Some UC purchases are luck-based, such as crates and spins where the item you get is random. Set a budget before you start, and remember that the rarest items can take many attempts. Many players prefer to buy a specific outfit or the pass, where you know exactly what you get.

Setting a UC budget

• Decide a monthly amount and stick to it.
• Use Google Play gift cards to keep spending fixed.
• Turn on purchase authentication so every buy needs a password.
• For children, use Family Link purchase approvals.

If a UC purchase goes wrong

Protect the account holding your UC

UC and skins make your account valuable to thieves. Link your account to a secure login, never share your password, and ignore anyone offering to “add UC” if you give them access. Official top-ups only need your Character ID, never your password.

Daily missions, achievements, events and the free Royale Pass track give items that you might otherwise buy with UC. Completing them regularly means you can save UC for the items you really want.
