How to redeem Genshin Impact codes
- Reach Adventure Rank 10. Codes unlock once your account reaches AR 10.
- Open Settings. Open the Paimon menu, then Settings, then Account.
- Redeem the code. Tap Redeem Code, paste the code and confirm.
- Collect from mail. Open your in-game mail and claim the rewards.
What Genshin codes give
Genshin Impact is an open-world action RPG by HoYoverse. Its premium currency, Primogems, is used for Wishes, the gacha system that unlocks characters and weapons. Codes are one of the free ways to collect Primogems, along with quests, exploration and events. Most codes give a small amount of Primogems plus Mora and materials such as Hero’s Wit or enhancement ores.
Livestream codes
Before each new version, HoYoverse holds a Special Program livestream that previews the update. During the stream, it usually shares three codes worth a larger amount of Primogems. These codes expire quickly, often within about a day of the stream, so redeem them straight away. This is the most valuable code drop of each version.
Redeeming on the website
If you are away from the game, use the official HoYoverse gift redemption page. Log in with your HoYoverse account, choose your server, and enter the code. The reward goes to your in-game mail. You still need Adventure Rank 10 for codes to work.
How to spend free Primogems
- Save Primogems for characters you really want instead of pulling on every banner.
- Learn the pity system: banners guarantee a top-rarity item after a set number of Wishes.
- Buy the monthly free Fate exchanges from the Paimon’s Bargains shop with Stardust where available.
- Avoid using Primogems to refill Resin unless you are short on a key material.
Why a Genshin code might fail
Common reasons include being below AR 10, choosing the wrong server on the website, an expired code, or a code that was already used on your account. Codes are not case-sensitive in most cases, but paste them to be safe. If a reward does not appear, check your mail tab rather than your inventory.
Other free Primogem sources
Daily commissions, events, the Spiral Abyss, exploration chests, achievements and HoYoLAB daily check-ins all add up. Codes are a bonus on top of steady daily play. Players who log in daily and finish events usually earn far more Primogems than codes provide.
Where codes are announced
HoYoverse shares codes during livestreams, on its official social accounts and on HoYoLAB. We add each code here after confirming it, along with the date it was last checked.
Events: the biggest Primogem source
Each version brings several events, from combat challenges to puzzles and minigames. Events often give more Primogems than all codes in the same version combined. Playing events while they are live, plus collecting free rewards like the version update compensation, is the best way to save for the characters you want.
Remember that rewards from codes are mailed to you, and mail expires after a while, so claim them soon after redeeming.
