Quick steps

1. Choose a safe method. Pick one of the methods below that suits your age and budget.
2. Use official pages only. Buy or redeem only on roblox.com or inside the official app.
3. Check your balance. Your Robux balance shows at the top of the Roblox app and website.
4. Protect your account. Turn on 2-step verification so nobody can steal what you earn.

1. Buy Robux in the official store

The simplest method is buying Robux in the Roblox app or on roblox.com. Prices depend on your country and platform. Buying on the website is sometimes better value than buying through a phone’s app store, so compare before you pay. Always buy from the official store, never from sellers on social media.

2. Redeem Roblox gift cards

Roblox gift cards are sold in shops and online stores in many countries. They add Robux or account credit when redeemed at roblox.com/redeem. Gift cards are the safest option for younger players because no payment card is stored on the account. Our Roblox redeem guide walks through the steps.

3. Subscribe to Roblox Premium

Roblox Premium is a monthly subscription that gives a set amount of Robux every month, plus a bonus when you buy extra Robux and access to trading. If you buy Robux regularly, Premium can work out cheaper. Read our Roblox Premium guide to see whether it suits you.

4. Use reward programs that give official gift cards

Some reward programs, such as Microsoft Rewards in supported countries, let you collect points by searching or completing activities, then exchange them for official Roblox gift cards. These take time, but they are legit because the reward is an official card. Check the program’s terms, age rules and country availability before signing up.

5. Sell game passes in your own game

If you make a game in Roblox Studio, you can sell game passes, such as a VIP area or a special tool. When a player buys one, you receive Robux after Roblox’s fee. Even a small game can earn if it is fun and players return. Our guide to game passes explains how to create them.

6. Sell developer products

Developer products are items players can buy more than once, such as in-game currency or extra lives. They work like game passes but can be bought repeatedly, so they suit games with regular play.

7. Create and sell UGC items

Creators who meet Roblox’s requirements can design avatar items like hats and accessories and sell them in the Marketplace. This needs 3D modelling skills and an upfront fee per item, so treat it as a long-term project rather than quick money.

How to spot free Robux scams

• “Generators” that ask for your username and then a “human verification” survey.
• Sites asking for your password or a code sent to your email.
• Apps or browser extensions that promise free Robux.
• Players promising Robux in exchange for items, account details or “going first” in a trade.
• Videos telling you to paste code into your browser console; this can hand over your account.

Roblox does not run any website that gives Robux for surveys or usernames. If it sounds too good to be true, it is.

A note for parents

Gift cards and a spending limit set through parental controls are the easiest way to manage how much a child spends. You can also link a parent account to see purchases and set limits. Our parental controls guide covers the details.
